Fishing Tips : Wind the pheasant hackle collar style. Don’t cut the tip but point it toward the hook bend (imitating the wings of a stillborn, which hasn’t reached the surface yet). Best in fast but not too shallow (it is heavy, and it might get stuck to the bottom or weeds) moving water. Cast 45° upstream, well above the estimated depth of the fish. Let it sink and block the line. The current will lift the fly to the surface (Leinsering’s Lift); the fish might take it any time during the drift. Best in case of bulging fish.
