Ninety kilometers long, it originates from Mounts Simburtini, on the border dividing Latium from Abruzzo, between the provinces of Rome and Frosinone. In the upper part it forms a savage valley, with fast runs and medium to deep holes where browns shelter during the day, preferring the end of the day to leave their “home”. Below Tivoli, it forms a beautiful waterfall and slows down until Rome.
Fishing the upper parts asks for a high skill due to the difficult environment while the lower stretch (below Subiaco), where the river slows down, is somehow easier but fish are very shy and suspicious.
Very close to Rome, it is the perfect river for those who want to combine fishing with the most beautiful city in the world.
