River Corno is a very interesting stream offering its water to river Nera. At Serravalle it receives river Sordo. It flows not far from Cascia, where Saint Caterina da Cascia was born, a nice small town attracting many devote people. Serravalle is on the way to Norcia, a very nice town very famous for its wild boar based cuisine.
This river offers medium to big sized browns and rainbows avidly responding to dries, wets and streamers. Casting is rather easy in springtime but very hard in Summer and Autumn, due to the thick overhanging trees and bushes.
Not fat from Serravalle, it creates a suggestive stretch, with deep and fast water (the famous “Gole di Biselli – Biselli’s Gorge”). It is a very impressive stretch of water not to be fished alone due to the strong current and the presence of many rafters.
