This mountain trout stream is in the lower part of Tuscany (not to be confused with Tuscia). still within a reasonable distance from Viterbo and offers a no-kill stretch with very nice trout and cyprinids. The structure of the river is typical of the Appenines: tumbling water mixed with long quiet flats. Average depth is not excessive and hip boots are often enough. However, waders are suggested in many cases.
Terrestrials and fancy flies (wet and dry) give both good results but it might happen to be in front of a hatch and this often asks for tiny or specific patterns.
